I’ve always felt a bit different, especially as a child. Growing up in the country, my brain would turn the grass into millions of tiny listeners as I sang from my dad's flat bed trailer. This ability to create story felt almost as one would feel about an invisible friend. I just always convinced myself that I was weird.

As I got older, I dabbled in writing stories on yellow pads with pen and paper, but never actually finished anything. Dreams would inspire new scenes, as would any vacation with my family, or an abandoned house in a field.

I thought I wanted to be an actress and even spent five years in LA trying to get my SAG card only to realize that it was story telling that I love, in whatever medium that would become. I started my first novel when I was nineteen and didn’t finish it for several years. Once I typed THE END to my first manuscript, I was hooked. Eleven books later and The Velieri Series was my first to be picked up by a publisher as a trilogy.

Many moments in my life deepened my need to write because it’s the one place that brings me the most peace. From my parents unexpected divorce, to my Auntie dying of brain cancer, to my fathers passing in a car accident, to many more life changing moments, I found that these things brought life and depth to my intention.

But I’m also just a sucker for Romance, Action, and adventure.

From my childhood in Visalia, Ca, to Los Angeles to follow a boy, to Colorado where I had my daughters, to Ventura where I took care of my grandparents as they passed, to Hawaii where I built a business in fitness, writing has remained my steadfast love.
